Becoming an exhibitor at an industry trade show or conference can be quite expensive. Try these top tips to make the most of your marketing return on investment (ROI):
Before the Show:
Carefully select the shows you will participate in - Are show attendees really good prospects for your services or products? Remember, it's preferable to have a lesser number of highly qualified leads at a conference than a large amount of those that don't fit the profile.
Set goals - You must know what you hope to achieve in order to gauge your success. Sales, management and marketing should all be part of the selection of top goals for an exhibition.
Plan in writing - The overall plan should include an agenda with tasks designated. Make sure your managers have signed off on your plan, and don't procrastinate until the deadline looms.
Create a primary message - The best exhibits illustrate a single message very well. This strategy works better than the frazzled image presented when businesses try to do too much.
Design an attractive booth - To draw attendees into your exhibit area, make sure it isn't blocked. If you have enough room, offer comfortable seating to encourage visitors to stay a while. Sharp graphic design and compelling headlines entice prospects to swing by for more info.
Invite known prospects - Before the show begins, send mailouts to your lists, including free passes to the exhibition. Trade show managers usually provide these passes to exhibitors. Just before the time of the event, call out to your invitees to remind them to come by to visit, offering a good reason to do so.
Merchandise your participation - Offer a complimentary show pass with your correspondences. Add taglines to your outgoing emails, for example, "Come by and visit us at Booth 215 at the Exports Expo. Just ask us for a free ticket to the show floor." Send invitations to important reporters, offering to schedule interview slots with your key staff members. Include an article in the company newsletter which lists the conference and trade show schedule as known.
Train exhibit staff - Staff members must understand what their roles are and what they will need to do in order to get the best ROI on the show. This includes the detail of information about new news products and services, along with the overall company objectives. Create a custom lead form for staff to offer, which includes qualifying questions for your prospects.
During the Show
Create a booth identity - Consistent uniforms identify your staff members. You can create traffic-building recognition through pre-show mailouts which are in the same style.
Live demos - Demos attract people to your exhibit and teach them more about the offerings of your business. This is also a great way to communicate to a larger number of attendees at the same time.
Record prospect information - Remind booth staff that the main objective of the show is to generate sales leads. Ask that employees record what they come to learn about the problems and needs of the visitors who come by. Be sure they understand the importance of collecting contact info when possible, even offering incentives or rewards to those staff members who collect the most leads during the event.
After the Show
Send materials immediately - Follow-up information should be ready to send out before the show even begins. When requested, fax, mail, or email material to new leads immediately. Quick response time creates the opportunity to get a step ahead of your competitors.
Help prospects take the next step - Be sure that the info you send out shows respondents what the next step is, and what to do to take it. This includes listing all the possible ways that they can contact you.
Follow-up - The primary objective is to create winning relationships and continue to qualify your prospects. Offer them something of value in exchange for more information from them about their situation and needs. This could be a paper, a guide, or an invite to a conference or webinar.
Track leads to the sale - Did your prospects make a purchase? How much was it? Use this info to illustrate ROI to business management, in order to increase the chances of getting conference budget approval the following year.
Complete an evaluation - Take a look back after each event, and think about what worked and what did not. Collect constructive criticism about the event and ask sales staff and others about their impressions and observations. This kind of feedback will assist you in maximizing the benefit of shows in the future, including the overall return on your marketing budget.

DUI Accidents: A Thoughtless And Pointless Waste
Approximately 30 percent of all Americans are expected to be involved in a drunk driving accident in their lifetime. More than 10 percent of Americans aged 12 and older drove under the influence of alcohol at least once in 2001 and that nationwide. A rough average of 59 people is killed every hour in a drunk driving auto accident. (Proner, 2007)
Drunk Driving is one of the leading causes of fatal automobile accidents in the United States. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 40% of total traffic fatalities are alcohol-related incidents.
Life is precious and those who are not killed by the negligence of drunk drivers, though fortunate, may be left with life-altering injuries that could prevent them from their previous way of life. These auto accident injuries may be severe enough to prevent a person from returning to work or engaging in recreational activities he was once used to. Sprains, ruptured disks, fractures, paralysis and brain damage are some of the debilitating injuries that haunt victims even for years after the accident.
Drunk driving is a criminal offense, punishable by fines, jail time, and revocation of license. Drunk drivers are charged with driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated, which includes the use of alcohol and drugs that impair the ability to operate a motor vehicle properly. This includes common illegal drugs, such as cocaine and marijuana, as well as over-the-counter drugs and prescription medications that warn against use while driving.
Victims of car accidents where the negligent driver is charged with “Driving under the Influence” (DUI) could be entitled to punitive damages in addition to compensatory damages. Negligent drunk drivers, on the other hand, may serve time in prison or have their licenses revoked and pay huge amount of fines, but pain and trauma suffered by the victims due to the drunk driver’s negligent actions remain, unchanged, without direct remedy available. No amount of penalty or compensation can make up for personal damage, but that is the closest a victim can resort to.
A drunk driver is held liable for paying compensatory damages, actual and general ones, which include medical expenses and loss of future wages; pain and suffering damages for the emotional distress the accident has brought upon the victim and his or her family; and punitive damages to serve as punishment for his or her negligent actions. In some cases, the establishment that provided alcohol to the drunk driver may also be held liable.
It is important for a victim to seek California legal service, talk to an experienced attorney, and file an auto accident or injury case as soon as possible after a drunk driving accident. In many states, the statute of limitations for filing these cases is two years from the time of the accident, but varies in others. By the time the statute of limitations expires, in most cases, the victim will not be able to pursue a case and obtain compensation for incurred injuries.

Retirees Should Use Stocks For Retirement Income
An issue that plagues many retirees is how to manage retirement income in the face of the increasing cost of living. Even with moderate inflation, costs of living tend to increase over time. This can reduce the retirement income retirees can obtain from fixed income investments, even while they must meet higher expenses. Where can you find a source of retirement income that can keep of with inflation, along with your expenses?
Our suggestion: consider putting some of your money into a portfolio of large capitalization dividend-paying stocks as an income generation alternative. This retirement investment could help to provide you with a retirement income that keeps pace with the rising costs of living. For the 30 years ending 12/31/04, the stream of dividends from an investment in a basket of stocks representing the S&P 500 index generated a growing stream of income. During that same period, interest rates from CDs fell 7.42% to 1.85% (the S&P 500 is an unmanaged group of securities considered to be representative of the stock market in general; it is not possible to invest directly in an index).
Data 1/1/75 through 12/31/04. Dividends based on a $10,000 investment 1/1/75 in a basket of stocks representing the S&P500 from American Funds Distributors. Interest rates from Federal Reserve year end rate on 6 month CDs. You cannot invest directly in an index. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results and an analysis of a different period may have revealed different results.
Although publicly traded stock can help you to manage inflationary risks, the dividends that these stocks pay out are highly dependant upon the overall profitability of the issuing company. Therefore, you will want to strongly consider the dividend payment history of the company prior to making such a retirement investment.
A few additional things should be considered about stocks and CDs. First publicly-traded stocks tend to be suited for investors that are seeking asset appreciation and are willing to take on the additional investment risk. On the other hand, CD’s are suited for investors that are concerned about preserving their principal investment and are adverse to market risk. With this in mind, it should be remembered that CDs are FDIC insured while publicly-traded stocks are not. The values of publicly-traded stocks fluctuate in value and may result in either a gain or loss upon sale.
The retirement income from these investments is also subject to differing income tax rules. Stock dividends are generally subject to federal income tax of 15%, while CD interest is taxed as ordinary federal income tax rates, which can range anywhere from 10-35%. CDs may have an early withdrawal penalty if money is taken prior to maturity. On the other hand, the stock of most largely capitalized companies can typically be purchased and sold at any time when the market is open.
But as you can see from the chart at http://www.retirement-income.net/income_basics.html, stocks beat CDs hands down for retirement income.

In Need Of Personal Injury Court Lawyers?
Have you or a loved one of yours recently suffered injuries that brought considerable damages and significant changes in your life?
You might probably have been another one of the victims of negligence and abuse. If so, then you need to assert your rights under the laws of Personal Injury, which is a branch of Civil Law. This law protects the rights of persons who have suffered from injuries resulting from accidents and circumstances that is attributed to the negligence and abuse of another person or entity that should have been more responsible.
In order to fight for your rights under such laws, you need an expert personal injury lawyer. If you are from California, for example, you might probably have to get through hundreds of lawyer listings with knowledge in handling personal injury, in the directories or phonebooks.
Even if you are looking particularly for a court lawyer with expertise in personal injury cases, you may have to confront an overwhelming number of lists.
While seeing these lists, you might be thinking how you are going to choose the right one for your case and what qualities you should look for in an injury court lawyer.
Here are several things that you should keep in mind before ever retaining the lawyer you need:
1. It is best to hire a lawyer as soon as possible – do not wait too long to find an injury attorney. The soonest possible time after an accident, probably one or two weeks after, you have started looking in earnest for a personal injury lawyer, already.
Request a friend or a loved one to do the task for you in case your injuries still prevent you from doing the task yourself.
Building up your case sooner is much better than waiting or putting it off up to the last possible minute.
2. It is more productive for your case if you hire a personal injury lawyer with court experience and specialization on the nature of injuries you obtained – do not balk at your homework in finding the best legal specialist to handle your case. When you do find the most suitable injury lawyer, give ample allowances at further research before you sign the retainer agreements.
Visit the lawyer's or his/her law firm's website. If it is near the area, take time to visit personally. Check out his/her history and biographical information. Request for several references and do not be ashamed of asking about his/her years of experience in handling cases, which are related to yours.
Research the settlement awards that they have also won for their clients under similar cases.
3. If you have already selected a prospective lawyer, conduct a personal face-to-face meeting with him/her. Since your lawyer will become your closest advisor during this difficult time of your life, you need to know him/her better and become comfortable and trust him/her.
4. It would serve your best interest if you hire an injury lawyer who implements contingency fee system of payment.
5. Be wary of lawyers who are apparently ambulance chasers. You do not want your case to be just another one in a pile of cases that is settled too quickly.
6. When dealing with your lawyer, make sure to be completely honest and open during discussions about your case with him/her. As much as possible, give him/her every possible tidbit regarding your accident. Pictures, documentations and other records about your injuries, the treatments and other significant effects of it can be very helpful in analyzing your skin.
7. Until you have consulted a lawyer, avoid giving recorded statements to any insurance company representatives.

Upholstery Care
Upholstered furniture can add warmth and character to a room. It is also an invitation for stains, especially if you have children or pets. Dust, pet dander, mildew and other household grime are the main culprits of dirty upholstery. By treating stains and spills as soon as they happen, you can extend the life of your upholstered furniture. Keep your upholstered furniture looking as good as the day you bought it by setting aside a few minutes each month to give it a good once over cleaning.
Begin your upholstery care routine by vacuuming each piece of furniture once a month, or more if it gets a lot of wear and tear. You know all those tools that came with your vacuum cleaner? The ones you have never used? They are for your upholstered furniture! Using the upholstery attachments, vacuum the cushions, the crevices of the furniture, the back and sides. Vacuuming will help curb dust, pet dander and dirt buildup. Rotate your cushions each month, if possible. If not, then gently fluff them, to help keep their form. Do not put furniture cushions into the washing machine or dryer, as it will ruin their shape. Keeping furniture out of direct sunlight will prevent fabric from fading or becoming discolored.
When a stain inevitably happens to a piece of upholstered furniture, the secret is to attack it right away. Waiting will allow the stain to soak in and harden, making it much more difficult to remove. When cleaning a stain, begin by first removing as much of it as possible. Carefully blot or scrap the stain, being careful not to rub it into the upholstery. Next, test your chosen brand of upholstery cleaner in an inconspicuous spot to make sure it won’t discolor the fabric.
Working from the outside to the inside, dab the cleaner on the stain. Don’t rub it, or you’ll just make the stain harder to remove. Use a gentle cloth, like a bath towel or terry cloth to gently blot at the stain. If a stain is particularly stubborn, spray a towel with water and work the towel over the stain in a circular motion for several minutes. Never spray water directly onto any fabric upholstery, as it may cause an ugly water ring.
Different types of upholstery require different kinds of care and cleaning. Fabric furniture, which is the most prone to staining, is easy to clean at home, using either a commercial upholstery cleaning product or a homemade mixture of ¼ cup of dishwashing liquid and 1 cup of warm water. When cleaning furniture upholstered in leather, use only a pure soap product, avoiding detergents of any kind. Apply a soapy solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water with soft bristled brush and wipe clean with a damp sponge.
You can prolong the life of your leather furniture by occasionally rubbing the leather with a conditioner, to help it retain a supple feel and sheen. Vinyl, another popular upholstery fabric for furniture, can be cleaned in the same manner as leather. However, never rub any type of oil or conditioner on vinyl, as this will make it harden and crack.
Regular caring for your upholstered furniture will help keep it looking its best. Monthly vacuuming and tackling spills and stains right away are two of the biggest factors in caring for your upholstered furniture. Hiring a professional to clean your upholstered furniture once or twice a year is another way to keep it looking great long after you bring it home from the store.

Chiropractic Marketing and Pay Per Click
If you don’t yet have an Adwords account, here’s a what you should do to get started.
How To Setup A Google Adwords Account
To setup a campaign, go to www.adwords.google.com. When asked between a starter and standard edition, choose standard. After choosing your language, you will be asked to choose how you will target customers by location. This is very important.
Be sure to choose the “customized” selection. This allows you to select a radius around your practice that your ads will show up on. This ensures someone from 500 miles away isn’t clicking your ad and running up your bill with Google. You can decide how far to go from your practice, but I recommend 15-30 mile radius depending on if you practice in the city or a small town.
You’ll then be asked to setup your first ad. You only get 25-35 characters for four lines of text, two of which are your headline and website address. Here’s the proven formula for your ads:
• First line should contain your keyword in a headline type phrase
• Second line should be a benefit you offer, for example “Get Rid Of Migraines” •Line three should describe a feature offer, like “Without Drugs Or Surgery”
• Line four is your URL, with each word capitalized and using a keyword in your landing page address if possible
The next step is choosing your keywords. These are the words that your ad will show for when people type them into the search engine. For now just choose the keyword “chiropractor yourtown” (replace yourtown with your actually town you practice in, like “chiropractor Dallas, TX).
Choose your daily budget. Be sure to set a daily budget that you are comfortable with, like $10-20 per day for now. Once your daily budget is reached, your ad stops running.
If set too low, your ad might stop running in the most important part of the day. In the last step, you will be asked to set your maximum cost-per-click. This is the most you will bid on your keywords.
The maximum cost per click will apply to all the keywords you chose earlier. I can’t tell you exactly what to bid on your keywords, as it will be different depending on where you practice and the keywords you choose. But I will show you how to determine what you should bid and how to get lower bids. Now your campaign is ready to go.
What keywords should you use? Choose keywords that you feel are important to your practice. What type of conditions or niches do you want to bring in to your practice? Bid on those keywords.
Keyword Matching One thing about keywords that may interest you is the different types of matching you can use with Adwords. The three types of keyword matching are broad, phrase and exact. You should also use negative matching to exclude those search terms that don’t apply to your Adwords campaign. Here is how Google describes their keyword matching…
• Broader matching options tend to give you more impressions but accrue higher costs. Therefore, include other matching options (like phrase- or exact-match) along with broad-matched keywords in an ad group.
• Broad-matched keywords should be at least two-word phrases (gourmet coffee or organic coffee beans).
• Narrower matching options tend to give you fewer clicks and lower your costs. It's still important to use descriptive words for these matching options.
• Negative keywords work well in most cases when you know a term doesn't apply to your business.
To use broad matching, you simply enter in the term by itself. Let’s use the word chiropractic for example. Here’s how the broad, phrase and exact match would work for the search term chiropractic
Broad match = chiropractic (any search typing which includes chiropractic will show your ad, including searches like chiropractic marketing, chiropractic tables, etc)
Phrase Match = “chiropractic Dallas, TX” (Enter this with quotes around it into your Adwords account. Any search that includes this phrase exactly will show your ad, including for example “chiropractic Dallas, TX clinics”, “advanced chiropractic Dallas, TX”, etc
Exact Match = [chiropractic Dallas, TX] (This match is entered into your Adwords account with brackets around it. This means for your ad to show up, someone will have to type this phrase in exactly like you input it, so your ad will only show for the search chiropractic Dallas, TX.)
Negative keywords = a word with a negative sign in the front of it, like “–tables”, without the quotes. When combined with the above broad and phrase match this will prevent your ad showing when someone types in “chiropractic tables”.
Which of the above match types should you use? All of them have their place. If you have a lot of competition for Adwords bid prices in your area, then the phrase and exact matches will allow you to beat out your competition and you will pay less for bids on keywords

Yes Dears, Trust Our Payday Loans
Is Santa Coming Again Daddy?
The innocent question stabs your heart and endangers your anemic pocket. You cannot explain recession to a 6 year old or tell him that Daddy and Mommy might not have a job next year. So you bravely answer the question with all the honesty you can muster - "Yes honey, he's coming over but Santa is not giving away tons of gifts this year because he cannot hire all the elves this Christmas to make wonderful toys."
Of course, children being children, your kid will put up another question. "Why Daddy?" This grilling will go on unabated and before you know it, you're pinning your hopes on payday loans. He must have that remote control truck and big sister her chic Barbie Girls 1GB MP3 player. Since these cool toys won't make you $100 poorer, you might as well indulge them this time.
So Santa's definitely coming in from the cold, although a little bit poorer. One hundred dollar payday loans aren't that much if you want your kids to be happy this Christmas. To survive the holidays you can always do some cost cutting on other expenses and still have a grand family celebration albeit low-key.
How to Deal With Kids
If your payday loans are only for Santa's gifts, then think twice, thrice, and think hard. Will it be worth to spend a hundred dollars for each child? Frankly, it is suicide to spend all that money on toys if you have pressing bills to settle.
Although young children will not be able to understand what is going on, the older ones can comprehend that money cannot be spent on frivolous stuff. If Santa has always given them everything they wanted each Christmas, it might be difficult for you to condition them to the idea that they won't be getting all their wishes this year because you definitely cannot go overboard with payday loans, er, Santa's not rich this year.
Payday loans or not, you and your spouse have to be practical and give Santa a break. Here's how to survive the possible Christmas fiasco:
Teach kids the true meaning of Christmas. Let them understand that Christmas is not always about getting gifts, but a celebration of the birthday of Jesus Christ and the Promise to all humanity. Tell them how Christmas came about and why this is celebrated each year. This will explain away the star on the Christmas tree and the three kings bearing gifts - the idea behind Christmas gifts.
Teach kids about love for others and about sharing. Galvanize the kids to action. Let them help prepare sandwiches and goodies to distribute in a nearby shelter for the homeless. Help them sort out the clothes and toys they no longer need which can be given to other children. The first-hand experience will help them understand why they should be concerned about others.
From the experience, kids will learn the true meaning and essence of Christmas - and ergo stretch the money from your fast payday loans.

Say it With Cupcakes
When there is a special occasion that needs to be celebrated, one of the purchases that usually go in the list would be a cake. Cakes can be had in all different shapes and sizes, flavors and designs. You can be almost hundred percent sure that you will see a cake as a centerpiece when you walk into a party.
But isn’t a cupcake simply a mini-version of a cake? Can’t we say with cupcakes what can be said with a cake? Having birthday or bar mitzvah cupcakes can turn out to be more convenient and unique. Whether you have the cupcakes all designed uniformly or keep each one different from the other, cupcakes can also steal the show the way a cake can.
Cupcakes come in a variety of sizes and flavors. Mini-cupcakes are particularly versatile because you can make them fit any shape you want. They can be placed in uniquely-shaped boxes and given as party favors.
Cupcakes for Different Occasions
On Valentine’s Day, you can place a bunch of mini-chocolate cupcakes in a heart-shaped box for a unique alternative to traditional chocolates. You can also earn a lot of brownie points if you bake the cupcakes yourself.
In the same way, you can give out unique Christmas souvenirs to your neighbors by sending out mini-cupcakes frosted in red and green, and placed inside a box shaped like a Christmas tree, a candy cane or a snow man.
For birthdays, instead of having a cake with ‘Happy Birthday’ piped on top, you can spell ‘Happy Birthday’ using mini-cupcakes. You can also have regular-sized cupcakes in the same number as the celebrator’s age, and have a candle on each one. The birthday celebrator can then blow out all the candles from the cupcakes!
How to Present Cupcakes
Centerpieces can be more interesting if they are made out of cupcakes. They can be arranged in tiers and piped in all different colors, lending a festive feel to any party. If the party has a color motif, the cupcakes can be jazzed up in the same colors as the motif, or in the same color palette.
With cupcakes, you do not need to limit yourself to having the cake in the center of the buffet. You can have a small cupcake tier or basket on each table. No need to slice anything, you can be sure that all your guests will be able to take a piece.
The good thing with cupcakes is that you can have them made in a variety of different flavors. You can have a luau and have cupcakes made out of different kinds of tropical fruits. You can also keep them simple by having them all in one flavor, such as chocolate.
You can choose to have the flavors baked directly into the cupcake, such as fresh blueberry and strawberry cupcakes, or to have a simple butter cupcake but frosted with different kinds of flavors. Still, you can have a simple cupcake and frosting, but vary the flavors by placing different fresh toppings on each one.
When you opt for cupcakes instead of one large cake, the possibilities are endless! Only your imagination can set the limit.

Successful Network Marketing is a People to People Business, Miss This Fact and Your Sunk
I’ll keep this real simple for you – network marketing is, and always has been, a people business. All successful MLM is going to come down to how effectively you work with people; face to face, over the phone and through your electronic communications. You have a remarkable suite of tools at your disposal today – the internet, social networking sites, email, blogs – they’re all superior prospecting and marketing tools. But, never lose sight of this fact: behind every email, every click, every blog post and every solicitation of any kind, is a real live human being. And, people want to conduct business with people, not electronic wizardry.
In your network marketing business, you’ll be working with people on three distinct levels. We’ll look at the three levels and examine the importance of your people skills in each area.
The first level is your upline and more specifically, your immediate sponsor. This is the person who more than likely introduced you to the business and who you’ll consider joining to build a business of your own. It is critically important to the long term success of your business that you choose your sponsor wisely. Basically, your sponsor should be the person you aspire to become. Your sponsor will especially help you in the early stages of your business building efforts. The beginning is the most critical time for any new business, it’s very easy to get discouraged up front if things don’t start to click right away. Your sponsor should be ready, willing and able to provide you with a decent amount of hand holding. You wouldn’t want to become overbearing to your sponsor but at the same time, he or she should be easy enough to line up for coaching or three way phone calls.
The questions you’d want to ask of your potential sponsor to help you determine whether or not they’re a good fit for your business goals – and more importantly the answers they provide – are beyond the scope of this article but will be addressed in the next installment. Your sponsor is a member of your overall upline team. Although it’s difficult to determine the competency of your upline people until after you’ve started your business, chances are pretty good that they’ll share similar qualities with your sponsor. (Just think of the whole “birds of a feather” thing.) The overall upline team is important because you’ll become a member of that team. Is it a team you wish to be a part of?
The next level of people you’ll be working with is your downline; the people you’ll be sponsoring into your business. Will you be taking your business seriously? If so than the last thing you’d want to do is invite just anyone into your organization. I cannot stress this enough, network marketing is a serious business as long as you treat it that way. Do you think Bill Gates built Microsoft into the organization it is today because he threw the doors open on day one and invited just anyone to come in and work with him? Or do you think perhaps he interviewed people and made a logical assessment of whether or not they were right for his business growth? You’ve got to do the same. With the right people on your team your success will be inevitable. If you sponsor just anyone with a pulse into your business, you’ll be setting yourself up for many long days of frustration, lost time and lost money.
Here’s the rule of thumb in network marketing – if you were to find just two serious business building partners a year, you’ll be well on your way to financial freedom. That’s not to say that everyone you interview for your business has to be a superstar. Sometimes, a superstar will take a little time to develop. You may consider somebody as a business partner without expecting too much out of them. Next thing you know, they may just experience a Darwinesque progression as time goes on. Here’s the bottom line: be a little picky and be a little choosey on who you bring on board as a business partner and you’ll be just fine.
I’d like to offer you one last word on this – like attracts like. Do you want to find serious business builders to work with? Then make sure that you first are a serious business builder. People want leadership, they seek out leadership. Develop yourself as a leader and as a business person and you can then expect to attract the best people into your organization.
There are a number of questions you’d want ask of your potential business partners. However, those questions are beyond the scope of this article and will be addressed in a future installment. But, for now, suffice it to say that asking only a few key questions will help you to thin the herd rather quickly and find the people who will best compliment your business.
The final level is the people who will become your retail customers. Not everyone you speak with will join your business but chances are pretty good that many of them may become your customers. If these people trust you and appreciate the knowledge you have on the product line you represent then they will want to buy from you. All I can say here is that if people are interested to hear more about your products, give them the story. What I would caution you against is being too pushy or aggressive. NOBODY likes to be sold but everyone LOVES to buy. People will happily buy things for their own, emotional reasons. However, if somebody is sold something, chances are good buyer’s remorse will eventually take over. When people buy for their own reasons they will be good, loyal, repeat customers. However, if you have to sell them on using your product line it will more than likely be a one shot deal. So, why risk alienating someone just to make a single sale?
This is the fifth in a series of articles on the MLM / social marketing / network marketing industry. In the next article I’ll give you some ideas on the questions you’d want to ask of both your potential upline and downline business partners. Your business partners, on many levels, are even more important than the company you get involved with.
If you’d like to ensure that you don’t miss out on any installments in this series, I’d be happy to send past and future articles directly to you. Just shoot me an email and I’ll include you on my direct distribution list.

Competitive Business Guide: Presentation Folder Printing
A lot of people ignore the presentation folder. They think it is just a folder for containing booklets, brochures, press releases and the other things inside presentation kits. This however is the wrong way in looking at your business folder. Presentation folder printing is actually at the forefront of your competitive business strategy. It is the first thing people will see as you pass it around for your presentation.
Color presentation folders exist to impress people, and to give that all-important first impression about yourself that hopefully will last. An eye-catching folder printing design can make or break your presentation so it is important to know how to keep your presentation folders at the peak of their competitiveness. Here are a few tips we have collected over the years to create the most competitive presentation folders out there.
1. The first thing you must consider is the folder quality. You must spend for this. Always aim for the best quality material for your folder given the budget. Any less and it cheapens your presentation folder. Your boss, potential clients or business contacts will always deserve your best in this area. You must look your best for them, so your presentation folder should look the same. Use glossy folder material if possible or any other quality paper. Folder printing companies can accommodate requests for different kinds of materials it possible. If you are a bit creative, try other materials like plastic, velvet and even leather. People will appreciate the effort and will remember your presentation for it.
2. Next of course is the design itself. To stay ahead and be competitive against other presentation folders always think of the best and creative design for them. If you are not good at graphic design, hire a professional one to design your folder for you. Keep the folder trendy, but do not be afraid to try an alternative design if possible.
Also, stay away from presentation folder templates. They may cut your production time in half, but it will be boring and common. A good way to do this is to think of a central theme that is related to your presentation. Use the theme in the presentation folder, as well as the materials inside it. If you can have a symbol or motif to use for the design go for it. You can even change the whole shape of the presentation folder to match this motif. Of course, keep in mind that it is a business presentation and not an art project. So tread lightly between the line of elegant style and high school art project.
3. Another tip to make your color presentation folder stand out is the effective writing of its title or tag line. Besides having some nice pictures and material, words can have an impact as well. Try to write something inviting or mysterious for the tag line. Have people wanting to see what is inside. Try to be poetic or even witty if it can be applied. Once they read your tagline, they should be hooked.
4. Lastly, try to make judicious use of color. Some people think that a simple white folder, with its formality, enough for a presentation folder. This is wrong. To stay competitive, use other colors to make your folder stand out. You can stick with one main color theme related to your design, while using a combination of complimentary ones for sleeves, edges and borders. Do not get too caught up though.
Use the folder color to compliment the design and the layout, do not overwhelm them.
That is about it for competitive presentation folder printing. Always keep these four things in mind to always stay ahead and be noticed even if it is just a presentation folder. Keep reinventing the presentation folder and you will have another tool for business success.

The stable environment of a marketing database
With each effort to improve communication to customers and prospects, marketers find themselves dependant on the sources and repository of their customer data and communication strategies.
Advancing technology and additional channels for communication, both to and from customers, has made so much more marketing data available that the next imperative is making that data actionable. Organization and easy access are the pillars for marketing success.
But databases are usually disparate. Companies use them for fulfillment and attempt to add on marketing functionality. These two entities live by very different business rules. It’s important for marketing purposes to maintain as much credible information as possible, even if some of it is incomplete. Mailing a catalog or direct mail piece to an address without knowing the phone number or suite number or even contact name is commonly accepted and, due to title inserts or pass alongs at a business, may even result in an order. From a fulfillment perspective maintaining these elements is vital, especially if the cost of the goods shipped is considerable.
Marketing databases with fuzzy logic can bring together questionable matches due to address inaccuracies and aggregate information that would otherwise be useless. A company’s business model may strongly target buyers during the first 12 months after their first purchase, in order to build the relationship and create a strong life time value, but if the purchases are not rolled up accurately these valuable customers may end up in separate marketing buckets and not get the attention they deserve. Once the 12-month window is closed the costs of reactivating that customer or building its lifetime value may become prohibitive.
Databases can also serve as the central collection point for each channel to better understand the true profile and actions of a customer. With Web 2.0 advances and the changes in tracking customer movement on the web, a true profile cannot be complete without adding this activity. When a shopper abandons a cart, or does comparison price shopping, or leaves feedback on a product, this user-generated content can fill in the profile of a customer. In addition to demographics, lifestyle information, and transactional data, the other side of the coin is a person’s web activity.
The end result is that customers receive communication when and how they want, at optimal times for maximum purchases. As the country goes greener and the costs of paper and postage skyrocket, making smarter choices is no longer an advantage, it is essential. Analysis and execution, supported by experienced and tenured partners, will provide the results needed to pull multi-channel marketing entities and even the economy out of its precipitous decline.
